The Plan

I had my 38 week appt yesterday with my OB. I also had a sono at this appt. Baby girl is measuring at 8.5 lbs. GIANT!!! Since Miss Addison weighed 9 lbs and 2 oz, the doc thinks I can handle another 9 pounder. We scheduled an induction on Thursday, April 15th. TAX DAY BABY! I'll be 39 weeks then. I'm was a bit upset that she's not coming sooner but also excited that I have some time to get last minute things done around the house. When the OB office was on the phone with the hospital (making arrangements), they said that her estimated birth weight was over 9 lbs.... OUCH!!! All and all we're super pumped that she coming. Addison is super excited. She won't stop talking about her! :) There is still a chance that she'll come sooner but I'm not holding my breath any. I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced.... so we shall see!

I've also been pondering how each day is that last day of it's kind that I will only have 1 child. I got a text from my dad this morning that said Happy Last Weekend with 1 child.... What's funny is that I did this same thing with my friend who recently had a baby (another shout out to Arica) but never really thought about it... like really thought about it. It's pretty crazy. I'm going to have to get 2 children ready for daycare/pre-school and myself for work... thank goodness I have the bestest hubs in the world to help me! :) It's going to be crazy awesome and I cannot wait! Come on Ella Claire... we can't wait to welcome you to our crazy little tribe!

Getting Anxious

So... I'm so ready for this baby girl to get here! I'll be 38 weeks on Tuesday and am getting more and more anxious by the day. A week ago Friday my OB predicted that the baby was weighing about 7.5 lbs... she's gonna be HUGE! I had my 37 wk appt yesterday and my OB thought that I may have toxemia. I had to have some blood tests ran and was told that if I did have toxemia then I was going to be induced in the morning. That brought on a lot of different emotions and excitement. Well the blood test turned out to be normal which is good but... I was sorta of looking forward to meeting this lil girl today. Now we wait... My next appt, which is Friday, I will have a sono to see exactly how much she weighs and then we'll talk about induction. Doc is affraid she's going to be pretty big. Oh and weeks before all of this fun stuff... she was a footling breech so to say the least the last half of this pregnancy has been dramatic. I'm just so glad she's healthy! Okay Arica... I blogged!
